Scripture: Joshua 23:14 (NIV) 14 “Now I am about to go the way of all the earth. You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed.

Observation: Joshua was getting old and speaking to his leaders about God and how he fulfills all of his promises.

In today's world we don't have a 100% guarantee on anything , whether we are talking about our jobs, relationships, a car or other material products we buy. What comes immediate to mind is the Malaysia Airlines that went down about 19 days ago. Something failed and caused the plane to dissappear into the ocean (so they say after finding debris).

It is truly a gift of God when we are able to look to him to take care of us and rest in His promises. Because Joshua tells us (as he did to the Israelites at that time) that not one of God's promises has failed, "not one".

Application: When I continue to absorb God's word into my heart, the more His promises are revealed to me. And the more His promises are revealed to me, the more I want to please Him. The more I want to please Him, the more my faith increases. The more my faith increases, the more I become bold and courageous to share his promises with others. Having an intimate relationship with God through Jesus Christ is vital not only to my spiritual well-being but also toward those around me.

Prayer: Heavenly Father down through the ages all of your promises have been fulfilled and there are more on the way. I thank you Lord for opening up my eyes to your Word. Keep me planted and secured in You, my Rock of Salvation. Help me to battle those things in my mind that may hinder your will from being fulfilled in my life. I cast it down in Jesus name. As I plan each day, please order my steps, my thoughts, my deeds so that it may bring glory to You. Forgive me Lord when I stray and fall short. I pray you would help me up during those times I may stumble. Lord Bless each church represented on this Island of Molokai. I pray you would hear the cries of those reaching out to you for help, for healing, for restoration, for revelation and for Your Love. Empower me by Your Holy Spirit to continue the journey You have set before me....I can do it no other way...in Jesus Name...Amen.
