Scripture:  1st John 4:7-8 (NIV)  7 Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

Observation:   We are encouraged to love one another.  Sometimes that becomes difficult when we allow the way of the world to dominate our lives. It's sort of a like a fast running stream.  If you are caught up in it somehow, it is difficult to swim out of it.  The bible tells us "God is love".  And if we show love to one another we have come to know God.

Application:  We've often heard the statement "easier said then done".  Which in a sense is true when it comes to love.  There is that sinful nature within us that sometimes wants the best of others, to be better than others, to have more than others, to have what others have, in essence to love ourselves first before even loving others.  Love is a purposeful and intentional act that takes practice.  It doesn't often come naturally.  But when we begin to meditate, digest, appreciate and really come to know God through Prayer and his Word it will move us to love.  And if not, there is something within us we still need to deal with.  The great thing about it is, God is there when we need him ALL OF THE TIME to help us.  We just need to genuinely seek, knock and ask him.

Scripture:  Lord as I set out this morning to Worship you Lord let me really know how to worship you in "Spirit and in Truth".  Let me come to you open, naked and without anything to hide for you know all things.  Help me grow in your love so I can share it with others.  And Lord when I falter please pick me up to try again.  Lord we so need you in these end times we live in, give us all the courage and endurance to finish the course.  I Praise you in Jesus Name....Amen.
