Scripture:

Luke 1:37-38 (NIV) 37 For no word from God will ever fail.” 38 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.

Observation: 

What God says will happen .... will happen.  When his words go forth it does not return void.  With that in mind there are many prophecies that still needs to be fulfilled.  It  is said that there are 2500 prophecies in the bible and 2000 have already been fulfilled and 500 more to go.  What is the rate of accuracy you might ask?  100%! Will the other 500 prophecies be fufilled?  If God said....then it will.  We would be wise to heed what God's word (the bible) has to say with this world and where it is heading.  The book of Revelation is one of the books to pay attention to.

When the angel of the Lord Gabriel delivered the message to Mary of conceiving a baby and calling him Jesus naturally she was taken back.  But later she said "I am the Lord's servant--May you word to me be fulfilled".

Application:

As mentioned earlier, there are many prophecies in the Bible yet to be fulfilled but we must not let our guards down but instead be alert and awake, for it will come!  In some bible translations (NASB) of this scripture it says:  "37 For nothing will be impossible with God" .  The enemy, Satan, would love nothing better then to have us blinded by the truth that "God's word will never fail".  Complacency in our walk with the Lord is a dangerous territory to be in, similar to walking blindly in a minefield, it will kill us.  Therefore, we must remain diligent, prayerful and keep pressing/marching  forward in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Why?  God said that's why....

Prayer:

Lord as I go through the day thank your for the reminder that I am your servant and your word to me will be fulfilled.  I will have an abundant life, I will  receive eternal life as a gift from you, I will be the head and not the tail, I am more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ, I will have a peace that surpasses all understaning, this is the day I will rejoice and be glad in it, I will ask for wisdom and you will grant it, I am your adopted child and therefore inherit all the blessing you have for me in Jesus name amen and AMEN!
