Scripture: (Galatians 3:26-27-NLT) 26 For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus. 27 And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ, like putting on new clothes. 28 There is no longer Jew or Gentile, slave or free, male and female. For you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Observation:  The scripture tells us that when we have put our faith in Christ Jesus it is likened to "putting on new clothes".  In other words we are now identified as "Christians", following Christ and that is our new identity. We are children of the most High God.  What an honor and privilege!

Application:  The scriptures tell us in Hebrews 11:1 (NLT) "Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see."  That confidence and assurance in our spirit is the driving force behind faith.  Other translations use the word "substance" of things hoped for. Once we settle it in ourselves that we have faith in Christ....it becomes the anchor in everything we do...  and in this topsy-turvy whirl we live in, it is sure comforting that we can anchor on Jesus Christ, the Way, the Truth and the Life....He is our Rock of Salvation...and we also adopted in having a huge family of brothers and sister in Christ because we are all one in Christ!

Prayer:  Lord thank you for welcoming me into your family.  Please continue to increase my faith in you and guide me on a path to reach others for Christ.  Lord I pray for your plans to continue to unfold for Heart of Aloha Church and all the churches on this Island.  May we not continue in a bubble of our own ways but be open to you bursting that bubble to fulfill your will. Lord when pride gets in the way help us to yield to your plans for our lives, our family, etc.  Mahalo Ke Akua for a brand new morning of life....your gift to us today....in Jesus Name...Amen
