Scripture:  Joshua 23:14 (NIV) 14 “Now I am about to go the way of all the earth. You know with all your heart and soul that not one of all the good promises the Lord your God gave you has failed. Every promise has been fulfilled; not one has failed.

Observation:  In Joshua's final words to the Israelites he reminded them that not one promise of God has failed.  This made me wonder who in this whole wide world can make that claim.  In reality, absolutely no one.  And yet we carry on in life sometimes as if there is someone that can...including ourselves.  Who are we fooling?...just ourselves.  

Application:  We serve a God that is all-knowing, all-powerful, whose promises are all yes and amen.  This in itself should motivate us to take all of our cares and worries and cast it upon HIM.  It should move us to fully trust that what God says He will do...He will do.  It may not come on our timing but when God says it will happen....it will happen.  We live in a world that is constantly promising us true happiness in materialistic and other means....and often times we are lured into taking it.  We need to guard our hearts, mind and spirit at all times because the enemy, Satan who is the father of lies and his followers, will be more than happy to stumble us and make us fall.

Prayer:  Oh Lord there is nothing in this world that compares with you...nothing that offers a fool-proof promise....nothing that will separate your love for us.  Thank you Lord for loving us that much!  For your Promises are YES AND AMEN!
