Scripture: Matthew 4:4,10 - 4 But Jesus told him, “No! The Scriptures say,‘People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.     10 “Get out of here, Satan,” Jesus told him. “For the Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’

Observation:   When Jesus was being tempted by Satan, notice he said that we do not live by bread alone but by every word that come from God and that it is just God that we worship and no one or nothing else.

Application:  Jesus was essentially giving us clues and guidelines on how we are to face spiritual attacks from the enemy. If we find that we are battling depression, anger, frustration, bitterness, jealousy, envy, hate or any of these destructive areas--the bible tells us to live by "every word" that comes from the mouth of God and worship no other. Out of His mouth comes love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.  God comes first, period.

Period: Lord, in these uncertain times I can be assured that you are the same yesterday, today and forever.  Your promises are Yes and Amen.  Thank you for your "word" that helps me get through all that the enemy is throwing at me.  Help me to stay on the right path in loving  you and others.  Special prayer for all of the men and women who are out there on the frontlines serving the best way they know how...keep them safe during this Covid-19 period of time.  Let Your will be fulfilled when this has passed....in Jesus Name...Amen.
