Scripture:  Psalms 139: 23-24 -23 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. 24 See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Observation:  This is one of the first scriptures that I really took to heart in my beginning walk with the Lord.  It was a time the Lord was doing deep surgery (figuratively speaking) into what was going on in my life.  I realized that on my own I couldn't change the way that I was living. When the bible says "Search Me", you are actually giving God permission to come into your life and start changing you.  It is a courageous thing to do and at the same time very rewarding.  You are telling the Lord do what you must do to put me on the way of everlasting.

Application:  I guess the word that comes to mind is "surrenderring". When we surrender to God, it is only then he can start shaping and molding us and changing us to be more like His image.  When I begin to fight the Lord and resist, He will also resist.  The bible tells us to draw near to God and He will draw near to us (James 4:8.)  As I read today's scripture I am also reminded that God knows all about us before we even ask.  With all the uncertainties that are going on in today's world, it is comforting that we serve a God that knows all about us and knows whats best for us.  We rest in the fact that we are under his protective wings through all that we go through (Psalms 91:4)

Prayer:  Lord, this morning I pray for all of those that are sick right now because of Covid-19 and that healing would come upon their bodies.  I also pray for the families and friends that have lost loved ones along the way.  Help the Drs., Nurses, Medical personnel, First Responders, Frontline workers, our Government Leaders to stay safe ahd healthy, to make wise decisions and give them strength to endure through another day.  I also lift up all our sisters and brothers in Christ to help them remain faithful, united and to look out for one another.  Forgive us Lord when we take things for granted...today I choose to be thankful and content in all that you have blessed us with.  Help me not to be anxious, and when I do, to come to you and share my concerns and burdens.  Lord you know my heart and if there is any place where it needs to  be aligned with you....help me to make it right.....in Jesus Name...Amen.
