Scripture: Philippians 2:14-15 (NLT) 14 Do everything without complaining and arguing, 15 so that no one can criticize you. Live clean, innocent lives as children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people

Observation:  How do we do everything without complaining and arguing (as the scripture tells us).? Some of the thoughts that come to mind is to have an "attitude of grattitude", a heart with thankfulness, to trust God in all things and to give God our burdens and cares.

Application:  No doubt part of the culture of today's world is putting "self" first.  And when self is not first, then comes the complaining, grumbling and arguing because we want to satisfy our selfish desires.  The bible tells us in today's scripture to do otherwise, to live lean, innocent lives as children of God.  As children of God we know that God will provide for us, will protect us, will love us unconditionally, has the best interest and future for us, gave us his beloved son who died for our sins so that we could have everlasting life...instead of eternal death (separation).  We have so much to be thankful in our lives.

Prayer;  Lord forgive me when I become selfish...when I start losing trust in you....when I start complaining (thinking that you don't hear me). Restore and rebuild my faith when I sway off your path...we need you more than ever as this world gets darker and darker.  Help us to shine our light brighter and  brighter....in Jesus name Amen.
