Scripture Ezekiel 1:5-11  5 and in the fire was what looked like four living creatures. In appearance their form was human, 6 but each of them had four faces and four wings. 7 Their legs were straight; their feet were like those of a calf and gleamed like burnished bronze. 8 Under their wings on their four sides they had human hands. All four of them had faces and wings10 Their faces looked like this: Each of the four had the face of a human being, and on the right side each had the face of a lion, and on the left the face of an ox; each also had the face of an eagle. 11 Such were their faces. They each had two wings spreading out upward, each wing touching that of the creature on either side; and each had two other wings covering its body.

Observation:  I wonder what was going on in Ezekiel's mind after witnessing such a vision of this creatures with four faces, four wings, etc.  The vision must have been a very vivid one for Ezekiel to remember all those details.  I probably would be in awe and astounded in such a vision.  Scripture doesn't really go into detail on what each face represented, or why have four wings and even why have a wheel with another wheel inside of it with eyes filled on its rims as you continue to read through Ezekiel.  But I guess these are things that one day we'll be  able to ask the Lord what this was all about.

Application:  Sometimes when I read these passages with visions and extraordinary events I try to imagine how it would look like in a Movie.  It just seems so animated and intriguing.  Not sure how I would apply what I just read, but my take away from today's scripture is that not everything in the bible that I read I will fully understand until the day I am with the Lord.  Isaiah 55:8-9 tells us: " For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways."  All I need to know is that God has a purpose for everything and that somehow in the grand scheme of things, I am involved and included.  The best thing for me to do is to hone down my skills and gifts he has given me and make the best of it in a way that honors Him.

Prayer:  Dear Lord, in the forefront of everyone's mind is the effects this Covid-19 Pandemic is causing in disrupting people's lives.  I pray that this is not a distraction on what you are trying to accomplish in this world today.  Keep me attentive and sensitive to Your Holy Spirit for your marching orders.  Help me to have Your eyes to see what needs to be done during this season.  Clear my mind, remove the clutter and muddy waters this world may try to taint me with.  Help me to understand what to do...help me to know how to help....help me to know how to pray....help me to be at the right place as I stand in awe in all you have done, all you are doing and all you will do......trusting in You.....in Jesus name.  Amen
