Scripture:  Genesis 18:1 (NIV) The Lord appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the entrance to his tent in the heat of the day.

Observation:  It's interesting reading into chapter 18 how there were three men that visited Abraham while he was at the door of the tent and it was the presence of the Lord.  The scriptures doesn't say who the men were, but Abraham recognized that it was the Lord (Yawheh) that was in his presence and he bowed low to the ground.  The three men were present but it was the Lord that was speaking somehow to Abraham.

Application:  it must have been a shocker for Abraham when the Lord came to visit him (via the three men). Some commentaries tell us that 2 were angels and that the other one was God that presented himself in human form, but nothing is certain.  I do know that a visit from the Lord like that is a great God-encounter indeed.  So much so that Abraham went out of his way to kill a young calf and have it prepared and even have Sarah bake some bread.  It does raise some questions within my spirit in how am I offering reverence to God in my life. Do I go "out of my way' to honor the Lord?  In my time of worship am I truly worshipping the Lord in holiness?  Abraham's response to God's presence was an intimate one.  

Prayer:  Oh Lord, our merciful Father, great is thy Faithfulness.  You have been so good to me, my Ohana and loved ones. Your provisions are bountiful.  As I enter year 2021, I enter it with thanksgiving and gratefulness.  I lift up my family to you ...those that are not feeling well or struck by some kind of illness...in faith I pray for their complete healing...You can do it by your mighty hand in Jesus name.  I lift up Heart of Aloha Church to you...lead the way Lord..thy will be done.  I lift up our Island..protection over health...opportunities of serving...peace and prosperity...more souls to come into your Kingdom.  I pray for our Country...I am reminded that your thoughts and ways are higher than ours....I am so glad that nothing surprises you in our nation...but we cry out for justice, unity and healing over our nation.....in Jesus Mighty Name...Amen and Amen
