Topic: Trust

Scripture:

4 So all the skilled craftsmen who were doing all the work on the sanctuary left their work 5 and said to Moses, "The people are bringing more than enough for doing the work the LORD commanded to be done."

(NIV) Exodus 36:4

Observation:

When Moses took an offering from the Israelites on the things needed to complete the tabernacle (gold, silver, bronze, blue-purple-scarlet yarn, ram skins, etc., the people were more than generous. In fact the Bible tells us they kept giving "morning after morning". So much so that the craftsmen had to tell Moses to have them stop.

I believe some of these articles were plundered from the Egyptians before they left Egypt.

Application:

When God tells us to do something that doesn't make sense to our natural minds, we must Trust Him. Little did the Israelites know that they were going to need a lot of gold, silver, bronze, etc. to build a tabernacle in the dessert. But God had a purpose.

When God tells us to build something (Church Project, etc.), he will not only provide the necessary resources we need, but he will also provide the necessary craftsmen too.

I believe as we mature as Christians, the material things of this world will not have its claws on us to hinder or prevent us from giving towards the Kingdom of God to see more souls save from this lost world.

Prayer:

Lord, I ask to hear your voice when the time comes for us to build on our Church property. This I rest in You.....in Jesus Name....Amen.
