Scripture 2 Corinthians 10:17-18 But "he who glories, let him glory in the Lord." For not he who commends himself is approved, but he whom the Lord commends.

Observation  When we do someting well, many times we want to tell others about it so we can be recognized. But, recognition is dangerous, as it can lead to inflated pride.

Application How much better it is to seek the praise of God than the praise of people, then when we receive praise we can give the glory to God.

Prayer Lord, all that we have and all that we are is because of you. Let me never try to take the praise that you deserve away from you. Help me to walk in humility and direct the praises to where it should go, amen.
