Scripture:

32Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.

(NIV) Romans 8:32

Observation:

The so called "such things" in the above scripture is further elaborated in verse: 29-31--They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless.

Very descriptive and pretty accurate of how people are today....and what's even more troubling is that some of these people knew God before----but chose to turn their back on Him.

Application:

It is so vital and important to "guard" our hearts and mind in today's society. We are not exempt of the things around us, for we have the same temptation as everyone else,  however it is our choice not to participate.  And the way we stay focused, is by fixing our eyes on the Lord.

It's like driving, the moment we are distracted somehow fussing with the radio, with our cell phone, maybe grabbing something from the glove compartment, the car slowly starts to swerve off the road.

Prayer:

Lord, help keep me focused on Your Plans before me. Help keep my eyes on the path of righteousness and choose not to participate in any distractions that come my way.  I pray for discernment, patience, and faithfulness.....in Jesus Name...Amen.
