Topic:  God's Plans

Scripture:  1 Now Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the prophet, a descendant of Iddo, prophesied to the Jews in Judah and Jerusalem in the name of the God of Israel, who was over them. 2 Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Joshua son of Jozadak set to work to rebuild the house of God in Jerusalem. And the prophets of God were with them, supporting them.  (NIV) Ezra 5: 1-2

Observation:  The prophet Haggai and Zechariah had a word from God and prophesied over the people of Judah and Jerusalem. They were with them and in support of them rebuilding the Temple of God.  Now although external forces were trying to question and even stop the rebuilding of the temple, the bottom line is that "What God Says Goes".  In other words God's plans always supersedes mans.  It doesn't matter what obstacles man may want to put in front of God's plans, man's plans will always fail.

Application:  God has a plan for my life.  It is my responsibility to yield to His Holy Spirit and continue to "press in" in prayer and the reading of His Word to find out what that plan is.  I am reminded of the familiar scripture of Jeremiah 29:11--"11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."  When I am responsive to God's leading, nothing will prevent His plans from coming to fruition in my life except my disobedience.  I am created in God's image and He always wants the best for my life.....

Prayer:  Lord I am thankful that You see the whole picture for my life even before I was born.  Lord help me to keep on the right track to fulfill all that you need to fulfill in my life while I am still here on earth.....Let Your plans come forth in my life, my family's life, in Heart of Aloha, in the Body of Christ,  on this Island, in our Nation and on planet earth.  Let it all be done for Your Glory.....in Jesus Name....Amen.
