Topic:  God Our Source

Scripture:  19 when I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces you picked up?” They *said to Him, “Twelve.” 20 “When I broke the seven for the four thousand, how many large baskets full of broken pieces did you pick up?” And they *said to Him, “Seven.” 21 And He was saying to them, “Do you not yet understand?” (NASB) Mark 8:19-21

Observation:   I can just imagine what's going through Jesus' mind:  Common guys you saw that I fed the 5000 and 4000 with just a few loaves of bread and fish and now you are concerned because you just brought one loaf of bread on our journey, and that concerns you?....give me a break!  Of course that is just my own interpretation, here is Jesus':  "Do you not yet understand?-----Here's mine again:  Don't you get it?

Application:  I think sometimes we flip-flop back and forth just like the disciples did.  We say thank you Lord for helping us through that situation whatever it is, then when another one comes along we forget what God did and we start to question and reason in our own minds how to resolve it instead of looking at Him for wisdom and direction.  It's like the Lord is asking us too: "Do you not yet understand"?

Prayer:    Lord thank you again for the reminder that you are our provider, you are our source, you are our means of showing us the right path, you are our strength, you are our hope, you are the only One...period....in Jesus Name....Amen.
