Topic Evangelism

Scripture:

For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

(NIV) Mathew 24-:38-39

Observation:

I've read this passage before, but had to do a double-take on what it meant when the people in Noah's time "knew nothing about what would happen".  Were they just caught up doing their own thing?; Were they even told a flood was coming?;  Or did they simply just brushed it off their shoulder and did not pay attention?  The scripture tells us "that is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.

Application:

Whatever the case may be, we as Christians have a responsibility to let us many people know that the "Son of Man" is coming back again.  They need to know that the hope of Eternal Life is offered to them if only they believe and receive Jesus Christ into their hearts.  They need to know that God is looking for a person's repentant heart and a genuine love to serve HIm and others.

Prayer:

Lord, by the power of Your Holy Spirit help your Church to penetrate the territory of the enemy to reach more people on this Island of Molokai.  Lord change the atmosphere in a twinkle of an eye and call people into Your Kingdom.. do it now Lord.  Break and Bind the spirit of depression, the spirit of poverty, the spirit of death, the spirit of hopelesness, the spirit of unrighteous anger, the spirit of unforgiveness, the spirit of drug use, the spirit of domestic abuse and the spirit of negativity over this Island by the Blood of your Son Jesus Christ......And release and loose a Blanket of Your Love over this Island that covers a multitude of sins........in Jesus Name...Amen...and Amen.
