Scripture:  17 Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked them: “Why are you talking about having no bread? Do you still not see or understand? Are your hearts hardened? 18 Do you have eyes but fail to see, and ears but fail to hear? And don’t you remember? (NV) Mark 8:17-18

Observation: The questions by Jesus is in response to their unbelief in God to be able to provide is how I am reading this passage.  They had just fed 5000 people from 5 loaves of bread having 12 baskets left over, , then another 4000 people with 7 loaves of bread with 7 basket left over, and here  they are concerned that they have only 1 loaf of bread for their journey left.  In verse 21 Jesus tells them : "Do you still not understand?". It's like say "Don't you get it"?

Application:  Jesus was saying to the disciples you saw me feed 9000 people total with 12 loaves of bread and having 19 baskets left over after everyone ate and still you don't understand that your Heavenly Father will take care of all your needs?  We today may face uncertain times, difficult situations, times when don't think we make it from day to day.  Today's scripture is a great reminder that our Heavenly Father will provide for us when we make him number one in our lives, when we wholeheartedly trust him, when we have faith in Him.

Prayer:  Lord there are times that I'm not sure how things are going to get done in our Family, Church, Community, Island, etc.  Help me  to lean upon you in those situation and to trust that your Holy Spirit will reveal the path I need to take.  Thank you that you are Jehovah Jireh, the God that provides.  Lord help me to me a blessing to the people you put in my path today......in Jesus Name....Amen.
